ALTERATIONS
If you see a piece you like but you desire some simple alterations such as chain length, metal type, or Swarovski crystal additions/color changes please contact us at ashleyjayjewelry@icloud.com before purchasing the jewelry.

ORDERING & SHIPPING
Since almost every piece of jewelry is handmade to order, please allow up to 10 business days from your time of purchase to complete your order.

All US orders are shipped USPS with tracking numbers. Item should arrive within 3-7 business days upon completion of your order. We will contact you as soon as your order ships and you will receive the tracking number so you can keep a close eye on your package. Please note that these time frames may not be guaranteed by the post office, and therefore if your package does not arrive within these shipping time frame estimates, your shipping fee is not refundable. All shipments come with a tracking number. Ashley Jay Jewelry is not responsible for lost or stolen items in the mail.

All items being exchanged must be received within 8 business days of receipt of the item. Please send an email to ashleyjayjewelry@icloud.com with the subject line "exchange" before starting the return. Ashley Jay must be emailed before we can honor and start the process. Jewelry must be in original condition with original packaging. The customer is responsible for safe handling and return shipping as well as the shipping cost for the new item. If you are shipping an item you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Please contact us as soon as possible if any items are damaged upon receipt.

CUSTOMS FEES
If you are ordering from outside the U.S., your package may incur customs charges and taxes. Custom fees are a tax levied by your own government to offset lost tax revenue when you purchase from another country, and are your responsibility to pay. Please check with your local post office to obtain an estimate of these customs charges if you would like to know what to expect. It is up to the customer to know the customs laws of their own country.

What do I do if my item hasn't arrived?
All shipments come with a tracking number. After shipping, you should be able to track your box to its destination, however, please note that USPS tracking information is sometimes delayed or not up to date. We don't have any control over USPS and how fast or slow your box reaches you. If you provided a correct shipping address upon checkout but your box does not arrive or gets lost in the mail, we will do what we can to help you find the box. However, Ashley Jay does not provide refunds or replacements for items that are delayed, do not arrive or get lost in the mail. If you need to order a replacement piece of jewelry for an item that got lost, please note that many one-of-a-kind items may not be able to be remade.

REFUNDS & EXCHANGES
Since most pieces are handmade to order, we cannot accept returns. However, we will happily offer an exchange for equal or greater value of the item purchased. All Custom orders are final.

JEWELRY CARE & STORAGE
As pieces are worn the surfaces will change and develop character as they interact with your body and atmospheric elements. To minimize the changes follow these tips!
- Never wear the piece while swimming or showering.
- If your piece gets wet dry it thoroughly ASAP.
- Store your jewelry in a cool, dark, dry place. Never store it in the bathroom.

Care Instructions for Gold Fill, Sterling Silver, Copper & Brass Jewelry

Copper oxidizes faster than most jewelry metals so in order to maintain the bright finish of your new piece you can use any of the following methods.

Basic Cleaning:
Tools Needed: warm water, a drop or two of plain dish soap, and an old toothbrush.
-submerge jewelry in bath for at least 1 minute.
-gently brush metal with the old toothbrush.

Deep Cleaning to Remove Tarnish:
Use a jewelry polishing cloth. We prefer Sunshine brand.
-using light to medium pressure rub all metal surfaces until desired shine is reached.
-when polishing chain, always use extremely light pressure. Gently pull the chain through the folded cloth or rub chain directly on cloth with light pressure.

Ultrasonic Cleaning:
NOT FOR JEWELRY WITH ANY OF THE FOLLOWING: A PATINA, ENAMEL PAINT, PRISMACOLOR INK, PEARLS, OR SHELLS.
When using an at home ultrasonic cleaner make sure to read directions carefully and follow exactly as they are written.

REPAIRS
Normal wear and tear repairs are free, minus shipping, within the first 6 months of purchase. After that, repair pricing is based upon the type of repair needed. Please contact us to let us know if you have any questions.

CUSTOM PIECES
Please contact us if you are interested in designing a custom piece that falls within the Ashley Jay design aesthetic. There will be a consultation fee and a 50% deposit is required before the start of the work. For more details contact us at ashleyjayjewelry@icloud.com with the subject line Custom Work.

RING SIZING
If you receive a ring that is a custom order and is not the correct size, there is a re-sizing fee of $35.00. If you purchase a ring that is not the correct size, please let us know as soon as possible and it can be exchanged for the correct size. The customer is responsible for all exchange and return shipping costs. Please contact me before purchase if you need help figuring out your ring size.
